Christopher David Allinson is president and majority owner of Aerospace Alloys, Inc., a family owned business specializing in supplying component parts for the Aerospace Industries with special focus on heat exchanger component parts and abrasive waterjet cutting services and equipment as well as numerous value added services.

Background

Christopher Allinson was born in Belgium. Son of a metallurgist who became a senior manager of various metal producing giants, he has had exposure to the metals and manufacturing business his whole life. He has 5 siblings and grew up internationally as his father was sent from country to country to correct inefficiencies in production plants. Mr. Allinson studied at North Carolina State University where he received his bachelors in wood science and where he specialized in CNC manufacturing and programming. He is married to Michelle Otto Allinson, an industrial engineer and also part owner of Aerospace Alloys, Inc. and they have two daughters and one son.

Experience

1995-1997 Allinson was project engineer and manager of rough mill operations at Cochrane Furniture and Mossy Creek. He managed a rough mill of 50+ employees.

1997 Allinson joins Aerospace Alloys Inc. to head their new abrasive waterjet cutting facility which becomes the largest abrasive waterjet cutting Job Shop in New England.

2007 Allinson becomes Vice President of Operations where he oversees the move to add additional value added services to place Aerospace Alloys in a unique niche for a metal service center, integrating turning, milling, laser marking, inspection, specialty packaging and assembly services.

2009 to Present Allinson becomes majority owner of Aerospace Alloys Inc. and after becoming president focuses on continuous improvements to take Aerospace Alloys to the level of a UTC Gold Supplier 4 years in a row (no other UTC supplier has been able to maintain that level of excellence). In addition he embarks on forming partnerships with Techni Waterjet and H2O Jet to become the equipment, parts and service distributor for the Northeast and the United Kingdom.

His plan is to move forward and to continue growth through additional partnerships and acquisitions.

Richard Michael Allinson is Senior Vice President and co-owner of Aerospace Alloys, Inc., a family owned business, supplying component parts for the aerospace Industry with special focus on heat exchanger component parts and abrasive waterjet cutting services and equipment as well as numerous value added services.

Background

Richard Michael Allinson was born in 1969 in Switzerland. Son of a metallurgist, Mr. Allinson received his BS in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University. He has been married to his wife Rebecca since 1993 and has two children.

Experience

1994-2001 Mr. Allinson was employed in the Auto Manufacturing Industry. In 1994 he joined Federal Mogul, Manufacturer of Oil Seals for the Automotive Industry. In 1996 Mr. Allinson Joined Subaru Isuzu of America and was a Model Launch Associate until joining Aerospace Alloys, Inc.

2001 Mr. Allinson joins Aerospace Alloys Inc. to head their Quality control department and to achieve ISO 9001 & AS9100 Certification

Michelle Allinson, VP Sales and Marketing

Michelle Otto Allinson Bendeck is president and majority owner of Cursor, LLC a small woman owned business serving the Department of Defense, Navy, and General Dynamics in acquisition of specialty metals. She is also part owner and VP of Sales and Marketing for Aerospace Alloys, Inc., a family owned business specializing in supplying component parts for the Aerospace Industries with special focus on heat exchanger component parts.

Background

Michelle Allinson was born in Atlanta, Georgia on Sept. 2, 1973, the daughter of a mechanical and ceramics engineer and a dentist from Honduras. She has four siblings and grew up most of her childhood in Honduras. Mrs. Allinson left Honduras to study at North Carolina State University where she received her bachelor’s degree with honors in Industrial Engineering (1995). She specialized in plant layout and production control for furniture manufacturing plants.

She is married to Christopher David Allinson, also part owner of Aerospace Alloys, Inc. and they have two daughters and one son.

Experience

1995-1997 Consultant for Derimasa, a large furniture manufacturing company where she redesigned the rough mill layout, designed and implemented more efficient dust extraction systems, and introduced CNC machinery to the manufacturing floor to improve productivity.

1997-2007 Worked at the Legere Group, an architectural woodworking firm, where she started in purchasing and advanced to project manage multi-million projects such as Yale New Haven Hospital, Nokia Headquarters, Twin Rivers Casino, GE Capital, and various new buildings at the University of Connecticut.

In 2007 Allinson decides to purchases the assets of Cursor Industries and forms Cursor, LLC a metal service center to the department of Defense and Navy. She takes the company to the next level by getting AS9100 Certification while continuing to manage the sales and marketing effort for Aerospace Alloys, Inc.
